The 49th Assembly of the Croatian Library Association, titled "Library and Community: Innovation, Inclusiveness, Diversity, and Sustainability," will bring together experts from the library and academic communities from Croatia and around the world in Opatija. Over the course of four days, through lectures, workshops, and panel discussions on topics such as libraries and artificial intelligence, libraries in a multicultural context, and the role of libraries and library services in the green transition and raising ecological awareness in society, current challenges and possible directions for the development of libraries and librarianship will be discussed.
We believe this year's assembly will again be a place for learning, exchanging experiences, and socializing. It will also be an opportunity to present awards from the Croatian Library Association: the "Eva Verona" Award, given to young librarians, and the Kukuljević Charter, the highest public recognition for long-term work and significant achievements in librarianship.
